Front of House and Bookings Lead

We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and relational person to lead our front of house welcome and bookings administration at Heatree Activity Centre. We are seeking a talented people-person who excels in both administration and customer service and who can balance vital bookings administration alongside building relationships with guests and prospective groups.

Main Responsibilities

  • To provide a confident and warm front of house presence for Heatree Activity Centre
  • To communicate the Chrisitan vision and mission of the charity
  • To respond to all incoming enquiries by phone and email
  • To work alongside the Office Manager to manage the bookings calendar
  • To administer the smooth running of the Centre’s online booking system
  • To manage all pre-visit communication with group leaders
  • To prepare and distribute accurate booking information to different departments
  • To build good relationships with group leaders, teachers, and all guests
  • To host (up to) four weekends per year on a rota basis
  • To perform general office duties and maintain an excellent front-facing office/foyer area

Ideal candidates will:

  • Enjoy meeting people and building relationships
  • Be able to effectively communicate the purpose and vision of the charity
  • Be a positive Christian role model for both guests and staff
  • Demonstrate an excellent level of customer service
  • Have considerable experience working in administration, sales or front of house
  • Be motivated by deadlines and completion of tasks
  • Be self-motivated, with a high level of dependability and good attention to detail
  • Have a willingness to help in other departments when the need arises due to operational demands.

  • It is an Occupational Requirement that the holder of this post is a practising Christian whose lifestyle is consistent with the values and principles of the Christian faith.
  • As part of our commitment to safeguarding, the successful applicant will be required to have a DBS check.
  • Weekend work will sometimes be required (but limited to four weekends each year).
  • Heatree is at a strategic and exciting time as we transition to a new bookings strategy and adopt industry-leading bookings software; the successful applicant will play a key role in this.
  • The successful applicant will be joining a dynamic office team that administers the running of the centre. As part of their growth, they will be part of regular team development and ongoing training as part of their employment.
  • The role is based at Heatree Activity Centre, Manaton, Devon, TQ13 9XE
  • Full time permanent (40 hours per week)
  • Salary: from £24,300, depending on experience
