Outdoor Education Administrator

Full-time position

We seek to appoint an experienced Administrator to provide a high standard of communication and administrative support to our Outdoor Education Team. They will be responsible for maintaining day to day administrative and personnel services in order to meet legislative requirements and support departmental operations.

Principal duties include:

  • Liaise with client groups, understand the requirements for their visit and produce detailed activity programmes and arrangements to ensure clients enjoy an excellent residential
  • Provide a high level of support/communication with teachers and group leaders
  • Liaise with schools to populate the bookings calendar and the main centre rota
  • Ensure accurate booking information is entered on the CRM software (VTiger)
  • Administer employee files and records and ensure relevant personnel files and spreadsheets are kept up-to-date
  • Implement administration within the office and respond to customer enquiries and requests, delegating appropriately
  • Be actively involved with phone and email enquiries
  • Support the leadership team with administrative tasks and other areas of the office as required

This position is a permanent full-time role, based on 40 hours a week. An enhanced DBS check will be required.

Volunteer Outdoor Education Instructor

Full-time position

Do you love inspiring and teaching young people in the outdoors? Would you like to work alongside a committed and dynamic team? Are you a Christian wanting to share your faith with others?

The Volunteer Instructor scheme is an excellent opportunity to gain nationally recognised qualifications and valuable work experience in the outdoor industry, whilst sharing your Christian faith in our dedicated and supportive team environment.

Aims of the scheme

  • To serve in a Christian Centre
  • To train in Outdoor Education activities
  • To be involved with the Christian outreach and input of the Centre
  • To assist in the general running of the Centre
  • To assist and lead when qualified in instructing Outdoor Education sessions

Accommodation and food is provided and you will live on-site in our staff houses. Hours of work are typically Monday to Friday 8.30 – 4.30pm and you will also need to do occasional evening and weekend work. You will provided with a full staff uniform and all personal protective equipment required for outdoor activities.

  • Mountain Biking Trail Leader

Various other awards and qualifications are included in the scheme and gaining these will depend on your experience, personal interests and the requirements of the Centre.

Applicant requirements

  • Must be 18 or over
  • Must have some experience of working with young people
  • Must be a Christian willing to share their faith with others

All successful applicants will be recommended by their home church and placements subject to a complete Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check.
