Looking for an Adventure?
If you love outdoor activities, leading and inspiring young people, self-development and sharing your faith, then why not explore this exciting vocation…
Journey into a six to 12-month Leadership Training programme where you can grow into the person God wants you to be. Your training will be rooted in outdoor safety, education and Christian leadership. Whether searching for a character-building GAP year or looking to unlock your potential in leading young people in summer camps, youth groups or adventure residentials, Go-Transform could be for you.
Fancy living near crags, caves and coves?
Whether for a few months or joining the team long term, numerous opportunities are available to develop your personal skills and leadership experience. Our team of professionally qualified teachers and mentors know how to combine being a Christian with outdoor adventure and they will help you learn in a thrilling and transformational way.
Go-Transform focuses on two main areas of development:
You will be trained at your own pace and be supported throughout your time to Heatree. The holistic approach to the training programme ensures that you receive training in both soft and hard skills, while having adventures across the South West peninsula.
We Love Expeditions!
You will get to explore and train amongst some of the best mountains, rivers and crags across the UK in areas such as the Lake District (mountaineering, ghyll scrambling, mountain biking, canoeing), Peak District (climbing and caving), Snowdonia, Gower (sea-cliff climbing) and Scotland.
Find Your Voice
We will support you in having the confidence and skills to lead youth and school groups on an adventure residential programme. You will also explore the theory and concepts behind Christian Leadership required for residential and adventure ministries.
All Christian Leadership trainees are provided with FREE accommodation and food on-site at Heatree. Trainees are given time and opportunities to make the most of living on Dartmoor and join a local church and community.
You could gain experience in the following activities: archery, bronze and stone age experience, bushcraft, caving, canoeing, environmental studies, fencing, ghyll scrambling, kayaking, indoor and outdoor rock climbing, mountain biking, mountaineering, orienteering, raft building, hi-ropes, scuba diving and team building.
Go-Transform (expected qualifications in 12 months)
Other awards and qualifications are included in the scheme and gaining these will depend on your experience and personal interests.
Go-Transform applicants must be 18 years or over, however if you’re 16 years or over you can still come to explore if it’s right for you in the future. You don’t have to come by yourself either – bring your parents, siblings or a friend to share the experience with you.*

If you would like to explore if Go-Transform is for you, then why not arrange to come for a day visit? This is a great opportunity to meet the team and see where you could be training and working.*
