A church weekend away is a great opportunity to unite and strengthen a church family where you can enjoy fellowship together in a different setting. Being immersed in the beautiful and wild surroundings of Heatree’s 80-hectare estate in the heart of Dartmoor provides an inspiring place for exploring faith and enjoying time together in God’s creation.
Whether you are a large city church, or a small congregation wanting a simple gathering in a peaceful location, we have plenty to offer. Our main building can accommodate groups of 150+ guests and we can provide catered or self-catered options.
If you haven’t been before, group leaders can book a preview visit where you can have a tour of the facilities; to book this email bookings@heatree.org or call 01647 221307.
We provide private accommodation in our dormitory-style bedrooms with bunk beds. The majority of bedrooms have en-suite facilities and we can add folding beds in some of our more spacious rooms; find out more about our accommodation
Our extensive grounds include lawns, fields, woodlands and moorland, providing plenty of space to explore and use as part of your programme. A short walk from the main building is an indoor sports barn which includes a bouldering wall and is ideal for unihoc or five-a-side football and is especially useful during inclement weather.
We have our own Bronze age roundhouse where you can gather around the fire for a truly immersive experience. Alternatively, it can be used as a quiet place for prayer or small group discussion.
There is no charge to use the sports barn or roundhouse, however they must be booked in advance as there may be other groups wanting to use them.
